Beachfront developer to market boutique projects

14/03/2003 -Resort Corp, developer of glamorous beachfront projects, has launched its own private sales arm to market the company’s smaller boutique developments.

Specialising in upmarket beachfront residential and resort projects, Resort Corp is associated with developer Peter Madrers and other private investors.

This new direction for Resort Corp will see it initially undertake the marketing of its absolute beachfront apartment development, Soraya on Dreamtime.

To do s, the company will open a realty information office at 32-34 Marine Parade in Kingscliff where buyers can access an agent and organise tours of the project.

32-34 Marine Parade is the site of Resort Corp’s latest Kingscliff project, adjacent to the Marine restaurant and apartment hotel.

The Soraya project is under construction and due for completion by July, 2003.

PRDnationwide will continue to market Resort Corp’s larger projects, including its premier beachfront project, the $60 million The Beach hotel apartments at Cabarita.

In the first Soraya sale, a Brisbane investor paid just over $1 million for an off-the-plan apartment at the luxury beachfront project.

This saw Kingscliff breaking the magical $1 million sales mark for an apartment for the first time.

The previous record was held by the Waves project on Kingscliff Street, which secured a $930,000 price tag for its penthouse.

The $7.5 million Soraya on Dreamtime apartment project is situated on a 1012sq m site located at 7 Murphy’s Road in Kingscliff.

The luxurious six-apartment project fronts Dreamtime beach and the pristine foreshore conservation areas and offers spectacular views of the World heritage hinterland and Mt Warning National Park.

It is located on the only absolute beachfront road in town.

Soraya on Dreamtime’s three-bedroom apartments will be priced from $1.025 to $1.45 million.

Resort Corp Managing Director, Peter Madrers, said the company’s decision to handle its own marketing on smaller boutique projects made great sense.

“Soraya is just six apartments and who better to market a project than the people who know it best,” he said.

“By creating an in-house marketing arm we can display an even greater in-depth knowledge of the project to buyers, allowing them to gain a clear picture of what we have to offer.”

The Beach project is a $60 million redevelopment of the Cabarita Hotel-Motel site located at Cabarita Beach, just minutes south of Kingscliff.

Resort Corp released 30 apartments to the market in January and holds expressions of interest on all 30 apartments.

In addition, the company’s marketing agent, PRDnationwide, holds 70-plus enquiries from other buyers.  These interested parties will be given the opportunity to acquire the remaining apartments when they are re-released to the market at the end of March, 2003.
